Alison Lister

Director

Ali has enjoyed a long and varied career: in advertising, project management, facilities management, technical authoring and training. She has worked in both private and public sectors - the latter for some fifteen years, serving as a manager for H.M. Customs and Excise, and the Board of Inland Revenue. Before leaving to start her own company, Ali was Training and Publications Manager for the technical division of the Revenue's head office policy unit.

Ali has written creatively since she was very young, and has been published in almost every medium. She's written features for women's magazines, and technical articles for Emap Computing. She's been a guest internet pundit for BBC Radio Five Live and appeared on Cyber.cafe for Meridian TV. A half hour documentary about autism that Ali made for BBC2 received the highest viewing figures of its series and was hailed by Michael Jackson, then BBC Director of Television, as a remarkable debut.

Ali was one of the first independent web content providers in the UK, specialising in community building and live webcasts for major ISPs. Her first Jazztech project was the launch of a brand new chat service for Sony Interactive. Within the company Ali specifies and oversees all creative work, and writes and designs extensively; mainly for the web.

Alison is a member of the eLearning Guild.
